Jennifer was born in Taiwan, but was raised and educated in both Taiwan and the United States. Her cultural knowledge and experience in both the East and West provides her with an innate ability to assist students in gaining a more comprehensive understanding of the Mandarin language and Chinese culture.
A certified Mandarin teacher, Jennifer strongly believes and practices learning through immersion and emphasizes the pragmatic approach to learning the Mandarin of language. Her teaching approach is to get students engaged and learning Mandarin through fun and practical activities.
Jennifer will be heading our Mandarin Immersion Enrichment Program.
Elizabeth McClellan ARTIST / EDUCATOR
Elizabeth graduated from the University of California at Davis and practices a diverse range of art, including set painting with Encore and Rhinoceros Theaters as well as puppetry and mask design for the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival.
Her original paintings and drawings hang in private collections and her work has also made guest appearances in the San Francisco Folk Museum, Turtle Bay Museum, the Anderson Art Center and the Ah Haa School.
The great joy of her career is over twenty years of teaching art to Pre-School through 8th grade students at Childrens' Day School in San Francisco.
Christina Chun 3D ART & TECHNOLOGY
Christina is passionate about 3D technologies. As a 3D Modeler, Christina has the ability to visualize and create anything from jewelry, mechanical prototypes or even toys. Her experience as a 3D Artist gives her a unique perspective in the creative arts and encourages students to explore the endless possibilities of creating with 3D printing.
At Sky Kids, she hopes to inspire and nurture the creative minds of tomorrow through art as well as technology. Christina graduated with a BFA in Digital Arts & Technology from the International Academy of Design & Technology, a 2nd BFA in Game Design and an MFA in 3D Modeling from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Joshi Marshall was born in Berkeley, California, in 1971. At the age of ten he picked up a saxophone and has been playing it ever since. He is now both a professional musician and educator.
Joshi’s teaching career began over fifteen years ago when he taught his first private saxophone lesson and has gone on to teach in schools, enrichment programs and summer camps. In 2012 Joshi gained his Orff Music Specialist Teacher Certification. Joshi is currently the Music Teacher for Grades 3-8 at Presidio Hill School in San Francisco. He has also taught at Chabot Elementary School (Oakland), Emerson Elementary School (Berkeley), and Prospect Sierra Elementary School (El Cerrito).
Sarah graduated from George Washington University and is a long-time child care development specialist, who has taught 1st and 2nd grades at a local San Francisco school for the past 3 years. She is proud to call San Francisco her home with its wonderful opportunities for learning and personal development.
Her warmth and enthusiasm for teaching is evident in her spirited approach and signature positivity. Cultivating a creative, fun and safe environment is important to Sarah as she know this encourages children to feel more confident and ultimately learn more effectively.
