SKY QUEST (Grades 3-8, 1 week)

Become characters in a fantasy game world, undertake quests in the great outdoors, and work as a team to solve challenging predicaments by Sword and Diplomacy!

LARP, short for Live Action Role Play, is a game that combines improvisational theater and imaginative play with physical education and sword-fighting. Kids will learn the rules of the game, then go on quests in the fantasy world of Roekron.

Designed to build critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, as well as empathy and social skills, this live game promotes holistic learning for kids across a wide age group through fun, interactive, and outdoor play.


 

Day 1:  LEARNING THE RULES Part 1

Students will learn the basic rules of the game and practice with a variety of mini-games both indoors and outdoors.

 

Day 2:  LEARNING THE RULES Part 2

Students will continue practicing through mini-games, testing their understanding of the basic game rules.

 

Day 3: INTRODUCTION TO THE GAME WORLD

Students are introduced to the game world and character creation. In the afternoon, they begin their first Sky Quest.

Day 4: SKY QUEST CONTINUES

Led by their game leaders, students will spend the day running quests, working as a team to earn points.

 

Day 5: THE FINISH LINE

Students will finish with the last quest and wrap-up with a final review of game results and learnings. Till the next Sky Quest...
