Standard Camps (Grades K-8)

Introduction

Due to our later starting time this year, we will run only 2 Camp themes: Wire ART and Monster BOTS. Class size will be small, lots of individual attention, and as usual super fun!

Wire ART (Grades K-6)

Let’s have fun with wire! Learn to use wire cutters and pliers to make one-of-a-kind art to wear, hang, or display. Grades K-3 and 4-6 will work in separate groups to work on similar projects that will use a variety of tools and materials that are suited to different skill levels.

So many kinds of WIRE…wire screen, window screen, chicken wire and more!

We will use a variety of wire mesh to turn drawings into woven patterns. Using straws, beads, ribbon, cellophane, wool, pipe cleaners and buttons, students will think about color, texture and pattern. We will also twist single strands of wire with crystals to create beautiful rainbow pendulums and create unique accessories and jewelry pieces too!
