Mandarin Camps (Grades K-6)

Learn and practice Mandarin through fun, hands-on projects and activities. We will split up into 2 groups each week (10 students max per group) with each group working on vocabulary, speaking, recognition/reading, and writing at different levels of Chinese proficiency and undergoing projects/activities of suitable complexity.

Calling all young engineers! Sky Kids campers will be tinkering with various materials and construction methods to complete projects such as balloon and wind-powered vehicles as well as conducting different science experiments along the way. Observing, recording, and sharing our findings will also be part of the Mandarin learning process.

Past projects have included making edible rock candy, creating magic balloons, writing with invisible ink, and using who knows what will be next for Summer 2019. Welcome to the Sky Kids Maker Lab!

Time to roll-up your sleeves and take handicrafts to the next level! Applying their creative minds, handy nature, and aesthetic sense, our young campers will tackle different DIY projects such as making wearable art, games and toys (e.g. diabolo), and other unique items for personal and home use.

By the end of the week, students will have their own set of knickknacks to share with family and friends! Past projects have included making candles, lip balm, stencil-printed tote bags, and board who knows what’s in store for Summer 2019. Welcome to the Sky Kids Workshop!
